Bitterroot Coffee Co. sits at 214 Main Street in Hamilton, a block off the highway and about ten minutes from the boat ramp. The doors open at 6:30am on weekdays because that's when the fly-fishing guides, framers, and hospital swing shift need coffee — not because a spreadsheet told us to.
We roast every week on site, in small batches, on the same machine you can smell from the sidewalk. That means the beans in your cup and the beans in the bag on the shelf came out of the same drum, usually a few days ago. Our baristas will pull you a proper espresso, but they'll also fill your travel mug with drip and not make you feel weird about it.
Inside it's wood, canvas, and a couple of well-loved tables. Conversation is welcome. Waders are welcome. We're a Bitterroot Valley coffee shop first and a coffee-nerd shop second, and we like it that way.
